Cannot disagree with you enough. Three good showings doesn’t make him the unanimous and unopposed closer for the postseason stretch. That sort of thinking is what landed the Yankees in the Clay Holmes situation to begin with. Clay had like 20 or so dominant closes this season before he broke down. It’s got to be a closer by committee until someone shows they are reliable enough to be a 30-40 saves per season guy. If a closer isn’t there, they don’t deserve the job with no conversation.
